The Al-Ameen College of Education was founded in 1990, which is situated in Al-Ameen Educational Tower, near Lalbagh Main Gate, Hosur Road, Bangalore-27. The Institution is Recognized by “National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE)”, Affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by Govt. of Karnataka.

The Institution is a Grant-in-Aid Institution with Muslim minority status given by Government of Karnataka. The college admits 50% of the students from CET (Govt Quota) and the other 50% are from management.

Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan Saheb, the Founder of Al-Ameen Movement, was born in a highly educated family in the western town of Pune located in the neighboring state of Maharashtra. He was profoundly affected by the socio-economic developments of the society. All this made Dr. Saheb to establish “Al-Ameen Movement” as national movement comprising three important facets of Indian Life, which drew his attention from his college days itself viz., education, health and banking and all this at a young age of 31 years.
